B.H.K. (Human Kinetics)
NicoleNicole completed her Bachelor of Human Kinetics with a focus in Clinical Exercise Physiology from University of British Columbia Okanagan. She is SportMedBC Athletic Taping certified and is currently pursuing her Functional Movement Systems certification (FMS).
During her time at UBCO, Nicole worked in a Pediatric Exercise Physiology Research lab studying the impacts of prolonged sitting and exercise on brain health in children and young adults. Outside of school, she also spent time with Interior Health’s Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program as well as the City of Kelowna’s Community Access Match program. In these programs, Nicole worked with COPD, stroke, and Parkinson’s Disease affected patients to improve their cardiorespiratory fitness and help rehabilitate their strength through exercise.
Nicole grew up as a high-performance athlete in White Rock playing volleyball and soccer. Her passion for sports and exercise are what drove her to pursue the field of kinesiology. She is excited to apply exercise and movement science to encourage wellbeing, improve performance, rehab injuries and restore optimal function to patients through active rehabilitation.

Outside of the clinic Nicole can be found playing volleyball, skiing, hiking, or paddle boarding at the beach.

Nicole is available at our Panorama Clinic on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. 

 

B.A. Honors Specialization in Kinesiology

Tess photo Nov 2018Tess Completed her Bachelor of Arts with an Honours Specialization in Kinesiology from The University of Western Ontario. During Tess’ time at Western she volunteered at the local Ronald McDonald House creating sporting programs for children to build both compromising and team building skills. Tess also competed in several intramural leagues to further pursue her love of sport. She is currently pursuing her Functional Movement Systems Certification (FMS).
Tess grew up as a high performance athlete in White Rock competitively dancing and playing volleyball. Her passion for exercise, physical and mental health and optimal performance in sport are what drove her to study Kinesiology. She is excited to apply exercise to encourage optimal quality of life, improved muscle and joint function and overall wellbeing for patients through active rehabilitation.

During her spare time, you can find Tess hiking, in a hot yoga studio or walking the seawall with friends and family.

Tess is available for active rehabilitation sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
